25/03/2025
Not every day does a Spanish technology development company land in the United States with an agenda full of events, strategic meetings, and new launches. We are here once again to present, for the first time on American soil, our Venture Builder and our Code4Equity funding model.
After a 2024 marked by the relaunch of our international strategy, we are entering 2025 with concrete proposals that have already attracted attention in Europe. Our goal? To validate and activate them in one of the most demanding innovation ecosystems in the world.
Over the past few days—and in the days to come—we have been and will continue crossing the country from coast to coast, with stops in San Francisco and Miami. And in the midst of it all, two stages stand out above the rest: Startup Olé Miami and eMerge Americas.
Would you like to know exactly what we are doing, who we are meeting with, and why this might also be relevant for your startup or your company? Keep reading.
Because this is not just about GooApps®. It is about how we can build, together, the future of digital health, sports, and wellness.
In 2025, we return to the United States with high-impact proposals.
Internationalization is not a new objective for GooApps®. It is a strategy that we strongly relaunched in 2024, and that in 2025 enters a consolidation phase. This year, we are not just attending the main events of the technology ecosystem in the United States. We are arriving with two proprietary proposals in hand to open doors to new collaborations and investments.
On one hand, we are presenting GooApps Ventures, our Venture Builder specialized in the sectors we know best: digital health, sports technology, and wellness. On the other hand, we are bringing Code4Equity, a different way to fund early-stage technology development without the lack of initial investment becoming an obstacle.
Both models have been well received in the European context, especially after their presentation at the Mobile World Congress 2025. Now, we are putting them to the test in the most competitive ecosystem on the planet. And we are doing it in places where innovation is a daily practice: Miami and San Francisco.
We are arriving with a clear roadmap, strategic contacts on the agenda, and a value proposition that aligns with what many startups in health, sports, and wellness are looking for: technology, support, and market vision, from day one.
If you have ever tried to innovate in health, sports, or wellness, you already know that having a good idea is not enough. These sectors have something in common: they are highly regulated, extremely technical, and, on top of that, they require scientific validation that cannot be solved with a well-rehearsed pitch. That is why we created GooApps Ventures.
It is not an incubator. It is not an accelerator. And no, it is not a traditional investment fund either. It is a Venture Builder: a model in which we co-create startups from the idea stage, contributing what we do best—technology development, design, strategy, and regulatory compliance—for projects that have potential but need more than just good intentions to reach the market.
What makes us different? We roll up our sleeves. We do not give advice from a whiteboard. We get into the trenches with the founding team, analyze the opportunity, define the product, build the MVP, and prepare it for scaling. We do not bet on volume; we bet on strength. If we get involved in a project, it is because we believe it can become a scalable startup with real impact.
And we do it with focus. The Venture Builder from GooApps® is designed exclusively for startups in three verticals:
The proposal is clear: if you have an idea or an early-stage startup and you need a technology partner who understands your sector, we speak the same language. And if you are in the U.S., in 2025 we are here to listen—do not hesitate to contact us.
Eric García & Osvaldo Ulises, CEO and Senior Developer at GooApps®
Technology in exchange for equity. As simple as that. As powerful as that.
Let us set the scene. You have a solid idea, a committed team, and a clear market opportunity. What you do not have is the budget to pay for the technology development you need to take off. Welcome to the most common bottleneck in pre-seed stages. That is where Code4Equity comes in.
The concept is not new, but the way we apply it at GooApps® is. Code4Equity is literally a model in which we develop technology—whether it be apps, platforms, or full solutions—in exchange for equity in the startup. You bring the vision, we bring the team. And we are not just talking about hourly developers. We are talking about strategic commitment, UX/UI design, robust architecture, and real technical validation.
This model makes sense when the project has scalability but fails to convince traditional investors with just a PowerPoint. It does not replace external funding, but it does complement it. In fact, many of the projects we have co-developed through Code4Equity have gone on to close investment rounds later—precisely because their product was already validated.
Advantages compared to other models?
At GooApps®, we do not apply Code4Equity to just anything that comes our way. We are selective. We evaluate the idea, the market, the team’s capabilities, and yes, also the alignment with our values. But if there is a match, the speed at which something can be built will surprise you.
This model drew attention at MWC25 in Barcelona, and now it is here to gain real traction in Miami and San Francisco. If you are a startup in health, sports, or wellness, and what you have just read resonates with you, do not hesitate to contact us.
On March 23 and 24, we were at booth 49 of Startup Olé Miami, two days of full immersion in Miami’s tech ecosystem. We actively participated in several event activities, with a special focus on the eHealth and Bio/Pharma Tech verticals, where GooApps® not only feels comfortable but truly at home.

We presented, for the first time in the United States, our Venture Builder, GooApps Ventures, and the Code4Equity model. And we did so in an environment that brought together a wide range of startups, international investors, venture capital funds, accelerators, and institutional representatives from Europe and Latin America. In other words, the ideal place to put forward proposals that combine technology, business model, and long-term vision.
Additionally, we took part in pitch sessions, networking activities, and one-on-one meetings with other players in the health and wellness sector. We were not there just to talk—we came to listen, exchange ideas, gather feedback, and identify real opportunities for collaboration and investment.
The result? Highly positive. We confirmed something we already suspected: there is both space and demand for models like ours in the American market, especially in sectors where regulation, user experience, and technical reliability are essential.
Startup Olé Miami was the perfect gateway. An agile event, with just the right size to make meaningful connections, yet high-level enough to launch proposals like ours into orbit. The best part? This was only the beginning.
Eric García, presenting GooApps Ventures at Startup Olé Miami
Over the course of two days, Startup Olé Miami offered an intense program that combined talks, roundtables, pitch competitions, networking sessions, and a solid display of specialized verticals.
One of the most relevant spaces was the main stage at LoanDepot Park, where panels focused on key sectors such as digital health, artificial intelligence, energy, sustainability, and venture capital. GooApps® participated especially in the eHealth and Bio/Pharma Tech verticals, where discussions centered on the future of digital health, the adoption of regulated technologies, and the challenges of interoperability.
Below are some of the event’s most noteworthy moments:
Institutional opening with an international focus
Representatives from the European Union, ICEX, CDTI, and other institutions promoting technological cooperation between Europe and Latin America gathered. It was a highly relevant session to understand the political and economic framework in which initiatives like GooApps Ventures are embedded.
Panel: “eHealth Revolution: Connecting Innovation with Regulation”
This panel featured high-level speakers such as:
The discussion addressed the need to align innovation in health with the regulatory framework, a topic that fits perfectly with the GooApps® approach of designing products that meet the most demanding standards from day zero.
ShitPitch Live!
ShitPitch Live, at Startup Olé Miami
One of the most original sessions of the event. The format: founders first give a ridiculous pitch, deliberately defending the worst business idea they can come up with in under five minutes—all in a tone of humor and gamification. Afterwards, they present their real idea to investors. The result: a relaxed atmosphere that breaks the ice, sparks creativity, and fosters authentic connections between entrepreneurs and investors. A brilliant concept created by Kent Richeson, blending comedy, improvisation, and talent with great success.
Institutional networking
We participated in matchmaking sessions organized by ICEX, which facilitated connections with players in the North American ecosystem: from LATAM-focused funds to innovation hubs based in Miami.
Roundtable: “From Europe to Miami: how to land and grow in the US”
Real internationalization experiences were shared. Several speakers emphasized the importance of entering the market with a clear value proposition, a local approach, and strategic allies—exactly what GooApps® brings along on this journey.
Startup Olé Miami was a real opportunity for contrast, collaboration, and validation. The combination of relevant content, high-quality attendees, and an open, dialogue-focused environment made this first stop a meaningful starting point with satisfying results.
From March 27 to 28, GooApps® will take part in eMerge Americas 2025, one of the most prominent technology events in the region, held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, in the South Beach area. Our presence will be centered at the Spain Pavilion organized by ICEX and Red.es, located between halls C and D (938), on the corner of Startup Alley, where we will present our GooApps Ventures and Code4Equity initiatives to the U.S. market. Our goal is to strengthen our visibility, consolidate alliances, and position our business models within the competitive North American market.

In addition, we are fully charged and ready to enjoy and connect through the many activities the event has to offer.
The program of eMerge Americas 2025 is packed with activities that not only inspire but also directly connect with the kind of technology that GooApps® develops and promotes. Here are some key moments worth highlighting:

International Immersion Program
An intensive program that helps international companies, like GooApps®, land effectively in Florida’s tech ecosystem. It includes meetings with investors, market sessions, and local guidance.
As you can see, eMerge Americas is an event that blends high-value content, attractive business opportunities, and strategic connections. And that is precisely why GooApps® has decided to be here, right at the center of it all.
Although Startup Olé Miami and eMerge Americas are the two main stages of this tour, the GooApps® agenda in the United States goes far beyond that. Before and after these events, we have been—and will continue—participating in a series of parallel activities, both in San Francisco and Miami. The goal? To explore the ecosystem from within, connect with local players, and generate opportunities for connection and collaboration.
San Francisco welcomed us with a series of events focused on AI, innovation, and executive networking. On March 20, we took part in three particularly valuable gatherings for capturing trends and testing our Venture Builder model in a highly technical environment:
Already in Miami, and as part of the Startup Olé activities, we were also present at:
March 24
March 25
March 26
